Yoga for Hikers

There are many hiking specific workout resources out there, but check out Yoga for Hikers and Backpackers on HealthNewsDigest.com for an interesting change of pace.  The Upside Down Pigeon position has piqued my curiosity, so I pledge to get a pic of myself in said position on my next hike.  Note to self: Wear underwear this time, so as not to scare readers away).

My good friends know I’m more of a Survivorman guy than Man Vs. Wild.  However, I find it highly entertaining when Bear Grylls decides to drink his own urine, and I’d really prefer not to find out what Freud has to say about that.

Anyway, the only other person I’d rather watch drink urine for entertainment is Will Ferrell, and as luck would have it we’ll all be getting that chance shortly, when Bear and the Man Vs. Wild crew’s trip to Sweden with Ferrell is broadcast on Discovery.  Check out The Daily Dirt for more details.

Ok, I’ll admit it:  I was wracking my brain trying to come up with something interesting to post tonight.  Something trail related, ya dig?  Then I stumbled upon a cheap bottle of vodka and instead got strangely nostalgic and ended up playing Oregon Trail for an hour.  Yes, you read that right…OREGON TRAIL.  If you’re like me, you spent a good portion of your pre-teen years playing  this epic game on an Apple IIe at school.  Perhaps you even filled your wagon with girls you liked, only to see them die of such terrible afflictions as cholera and dysentery (guess I should have bought them clothes before starting out from Independence in March!), or drown while trying to ford a river much too wide and deep.  Ah, the lessons we learn…

Anyway, I stumbled upon Virtual Apple 2,  which just might change your  life.  Play Oregon Trail or any of your other favorite games from the good old days.
